About Qs Web
Qs Web is a Black-owned company founded in 2018 by Samuel Lindile Nkotoba. The business began as an internet café with a clear purpose: to bring internet access and digital support to the communities of Modder East, East Vale, Alliance, and Skoonplass, where such services were previously unavailable. As we worked closely with our customers, we noticed a growing need. Many people in our community had little or no computer knowledge and felt uncomfortable using a computer. Some even asked us to teach them. This highlighted a bigger issue: as the world becomes more digital, many people are being left behind. Qs Web exists to close this gap. We provide practical computer training that helps individuals gain confidence, build skills, and improve their opportunities. Our work is about empowerment, digital inclusion, and creating employment within our community.
Who We Serve
We offer training to anyone who is willing to learn, young or old. Qs Web is especially committed to supporting individuals who did not complete matric or who have limited access to formal education. Computer literacy is an essential skill for today’s world, and we are proud to help our learners take their first steps into the digital space, one person at a time.

- Rebranding from Qs Web Internet Lounge to Qs Web College to better reflect our purpose
- Updating our logo to clearly speak to our target audience
- Improving our advertising approach to reach and engage more people
- Upgrading our premises to create a professional and welcoming learning environment
- Procuring new, faster, and more reliable computers to support effective training

QS Web is committed to maintaining a strong and effective quality assurance system that supports credible, high-quality training and learning outcomes. QS Web will ensure that:

- Our quality assurance system complies with the requirements of the NQF, relevant SETAs, and other key stakeholders
- Ongoing self-assessments are conducted to evaluate performance through portfolio reporting, stakeholder feedback, internal moderation, and internal audit processes
- Results from self-assessment activities are used to monitor performance and guide improvements that deliver the greatest benefit to learners and stakeholders
- We work in partnership with SETAs to ensure that, during external reviews, our internal systems remain robust and effective, maintaining at least a Confident rating in educational performance and organisational capability

As Qs Web continued to grow, it became clear that change was necessary to better serve our community and reflect our true purpose. We made several important improvements:

- Rebranded from Qs Web Internet Lounge to Qs Web College to align with our training focus
- Updated our logo to better represent our learners and target audience
- Improved how we advertise and communicate our services
- Upgraded our premises to create a professional learning environment
- Invested in new, faster, and more reliable computers to support effective training

After obtaining accreditation, Qs Web made a strategic decision to begin operating as a Saturday school. This allowed the internet café to continue operating during the week while the training programme was introduced in a manageable and effective way. As the computer school grows, a larger and more suitable training venue will be required. This phased approach allows Qs Web to expand responsibly while continuing to serve the community through both internet access and skills development.
